Kenyans "Attack" Rigathi Gachagua After Claiming His Life Was In Danger

Rigathi Gachagua, the running partner of Deputy President William Ruto, has pleaded with his followers to pray for him, claiming that he, Kiharu MP Ndidi Nyoro, and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichugwa's lives are in danger.

Gachagua asked his followers to pray for him while he was out campaigning in Nyeri County, stating that President Uhuru Kenyatta had a meeting with elders in Nakuru to discuss the three of them.

I have information that Uhuru, whom we helped win the presidency, called a meeting where he vowed to deal with us, but I want to tell him that he should leave us alone. At this time, you should pray for me and those who are backing William Ruto.

defending his assertion Gachagua stated that after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) publicised the strategies he allegedly employed to launder stolen "taxpayers' money in the fraudulent tender sale," he has been aware that the DCI officials are following him.

After the High Court mandated that Sh202 million be frozen and turned over to the government, the agency launched an investigation.

Gachagua stated, "The reason why I'm stating that my life is in danger is because characters are following me, with a recent case taking place in Nakuru, but I'm not worried I'll pay the ultimate price."

His sentiments however didn't sit well with majority of kenyans especially those who are supporting Raila Odinga and Martha Karua. Here some of their reactions.
