
A week after taking oath of office, Bungoma county governor Kenneth Makelo Lusaka has embarked on a mission of scrutinizing the dealings of the past regime under Wycliffe Wangamati.
Lusaka who recaptured his seat after loosing in 2017 has today disclosed having constituted three taskforces to audit areas of interest in the county government and submit their reports in record time.
Lusaka who was addressing the media in Bumula constituency when he inspected a local medical facility said that the audit will give residents a clear picture of how resources designated for their service were utilised.
"I believe Bungoma residents deserve to know if indeed they are getting value for their money." He said.

The areas targeted by Lusaka is the human resources department where he needs to know the exact number of workers on the county's payroll debts owed to suppliers and contractors and the County Scholarship.
The dispatched taskforces have been given two weeks to execute the audit and submit findings.
"The teams have two weeks to present their findings to my office, which will made Public." Lusaka said.
