Extract from the Daily Nation
It has now emerged that said meeting, a tough talking President Uhuru Kenyatta lectured the leaders for hours, on the importance of working in unity towards seeing a unified Kenya in the run up to 2022. He urged them to put their differences aside and work towards a common goal, which is to secure the top seat.
This comes a disturbing news to the second in command, who shelved his ambitions to support Uhuru Kenyatta in his two terms as the president of the republic of Kenya. Although he has been quoted in several occasions that the Uhuru does not owe him, he clearly needs the blessings of the president to run a successful campaign to clinch the top seat.
