Cleophas Malala Remarks On The Video Of Khalwale Campaigning For Him In Kakamega

Despite the fact that both of them are in Kenya Kwanza, kakamega county gubernatorial aspirant honourable Cleophas Malala and senatorial aspirant honourable Boni Khalwale have sometimes not been in good terms. At one point, during their campaigns, Khalwale asked the residents that they should choose who to vote between Malala and ODM aspirant Fernandes Barasa. That was seen as a way of campaigning for Barasa. He was therefore stoned by some Malala supporters.

However, today, the situation was different, in a video shared by Malala on his official Facebook page, Khalwale took to the podium and vigorously campaigned for Malala. He told the residents that Malala is born from the region and they should therefore vote for him. He therefore praised him. He wrote;

"The Cleo Malalah gospel grows louder as the date with the ballot grows neigh with more Leaders drumming support for the "CleoBetty'' ticket to become the 2nd Governor of Kakamega County."

He was glad that there is a positive response from the residents especially when his name is mentioned. Khalwale and Malala were both eyeing for the gubernatorial seat but through consensus, they agreed that one person will vie for the top seat while the other will seek the senatorial seat.

Malala also played a part in bringing together Ruto, Mudavadi and Wetangula. Before the two officially announced that they will work together, Malala was closer to Ruto and he would sometimes give an impromptu visit to his rallies and vice versa. However ANC party kept saying that Malala is doing that for himself and not in the behalf of the party.
