Republican President Edgar Lungu collapsed this afternoon after feeling suddenly dizzy during the commemoration ceremony of the 45th Zambian Defence Forces in Lusaka. He was immediately rushed to a military hospital where he was resuscitated and he is now recovering well.
According to unverified reports from State House sources, President Lungu might have collapsed due to piled pressure of work and thoughts how majority of people especially in Northern and Muchinga Provinces are upset with his leadership.
"Since last night he has been thinking of how PF has lost popularity in Lunte and Mpulungu Districts where Ruling Party Officials are being overpowered by UPND. In Lunte Residents raised UPND symbols during a PF rally. These two incidences have really shocked the Head of State making him to faint", said the source.
This come at a time the football world also encountered an emergency when Christian Ericksen collapsed while playing in the field.Could they be correlated? No but they are similar occurrences among notable people. We wish the president a quick recovery.
