Deputy President Dr William Ruto's big blunder which he recently made during an interview with Inooro fm Radio, has come to haunt him as his top critics have taken his own words to blast him as being a rebel to the government in which he is serving as the second in command.
The DP's decision of using the firearms factory in Ruiru as an example to describe how he will make the bottom-up economic development model to work, has caused him troubles with his opponents who thinks that he is now opposing the government projects despite being the Deputy President.
In an interview with Citizen Television today, DP Ruto's ally Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Hon Gladys Boss Sholei, defended the Deputy President saying that he just used the firearms factory as an example to explain the bottom-up economic model, but he is not opposing it as his critics are claiming.
Sholei claims that the DP just chose the firearms factory which has employed only 100 people to explain more how the bottom-up model can work. He just proposed that the Sh4 billion that was invested in the fireams factory should have been used in implementating another project that could have created more employment opportunities.
