Azimio principal Kalonzo Musyoka recently expressed his regrets over the appointment or nomination of former Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa to the cabinet by president William Ruto.
Kalonzo also called on Members of Parliament to live upto their oaths and reject cabinet nominees whom he alleged have integrity issues Aisha Jumwa.
Though Jumwa has remained silent, a section of Amason Kingi linked and Kilifi based Pamoja African Alliance party officials have come to her defence condemning Kalonzo's calls on the national Assembly to block Jumwa's appointment.
Led by former Kilifi Senatorial aspirant Ben Kai, the leaders claimed that Kalonzo's utterances amounted to nothing less than discrimination and victimization. "The law is very clear that that nobody is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law," said Kai. They called on the National Assembly not to be swayed by Kalonzo.
The former MP has been at the centre of finger pointing by MPs allied to the Azimio camp. Today morning, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna supported Kalonzo's allegations.
