ODM leader Raila Odinga , Deputy president William Ruto and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi are among presidential hopefuls who have made inroads into Mt Kenya trying to woo local residents into supporting their bids.
Speaking at Latter Glory Worship Center in Kiambaa, Kiambu County on Sunday, Ruto claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta has secretly thought him on how to climb Mt Kenya, giving him an edge over his competitors.
"Many people are struggling to climb the mountain but I am lucky my friend Uhuru Kenyatta had already taught me how to climb the mountain early. He told me if you want to be together with people of the mountain take care of their needs like roads, water and Agriculture," Ruto said today.
The DP however cautioned against ethnic political parties, saying politicians should focus on joining parties which have a national outlook.
