William Samoei Arap Ruto, the Deputy President, is continuing his political tour in the western region. DP Ruto paid a visit to Shianda market in Kakamega county today, October 22, 2021, where he spoke to a large crowd of supporters.
Dp Ruto disclosed some critical information to his supporters, claiming that it was the cause for the handshake.
"I am not like "Mzee wa vitendawili" (Raila) and "Uhuru," who are only interested in gaining political power. They seek to change the constitution not for your benefit, but to give themselves more political power. They simply do not desire to retire "Ruto remarked.
"I humbly request that the people of Kakamega give me a chance in 2022. To absorb the four million jobless youths, I would ensure that additional employment are created through industrialisation "Ruto made a pledge.
Despite the efforts of certain politicians to heal the shattered relationship, a big political divide has recently emerged between Ruto and his boss, Uhuru.
Ruto's visit to Kakamega has sparked debate on social media, with some users claiming that Kakamega and Western have traditionally been ODM's backyard.
