Kiraitu Murungi has today, Saturday 27th, unveiled the Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) whose main colour is yellow. The launching event took place at the Bomas of Kenya where a number of leaders attended the meeting.
During the launching of the new party, Churchill Show Comedian Jasper Muthomi aka MC Jessy has officially joined politics, eyeing South Imenti Parliamentary Seat in the next year's general elections.
He made this declaration during the official launch of Devolution Empowerment Party(MBUS) driven by Meru County Governor Hon. Kiraitu Murungi. The comedian said he will be contesting under the new party in town the Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) party.
Taking to his social media account, Jessy revealed his plans to transform the lives of the residents of Identity come 2022 if he will be elected as the next legislator.
This is coming at a time when many politicians are defecting from one party to another in order to get the most suitable party that will land them a job in the political arena next year.
