Jubilee government has been faulted for the collapse of several parties that joined it during electioneering period back in 2017. The small parties folded as they formed one big party whose leaders were President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Speaking TV47's Morning Café, Matuga Member of Parliament, Kassim Tandaza claimed that the late Kalembe Ndile cried to his grave over his party, The Independent Party (popularly known as Tip Tip). The former Kibwezi West died last year at the Nairobi Hospital.
“When Jubilee came into government, it tried to bring many political parties to form one party but they actually collapsed them. Kalembe Ndile went into the grave crying about his party (TIP),” MP Kassim Tandaza said as quoted by the media house.
In an interview with local media back in 2019, Kalembe Ndile said that they were promised Ksh30 million, which they didn't receive after the merger with Jubilee. He added it was only officials of big parties that got the plum positions.
