On January 10, 2023, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua welcomed Kisii County Governor Simba Arati to his office in the Harambee Annex, sparking a lot of rumors about what the two men might be cooking up.
After welcoming Governor Arati to his office, the DP indicated that they had a lengthy conversation about a variety of topics, including realigning their shared strategic aims, particularly with regard to the fully and partially devolved functions.
In addition, he said that decentralization continues to be essential to the Kenya Kwanza Administration's efforts to restore dignity to Kenyans' lives, regardless of their political party or affiliation.
"Today, I hosted the Governor of Kisii County Hon. @SimbaArati at my Office in Harambee Annex for talks on delivering on the devolution promise to the people of Kenya," DP Rigathi said.
During the meeting, the two also discussed areas of partnership between national government and county government in creating new synergies for better service delivery.
What do you think could be cooking between the ODM affiliated Governor and DP Rigathi Gachagua?
