The country has just gone through the trying moments of tensed election.The just concluded election has witnessed a hotly contested race between Raila Odinga and William Ruto.Yesterday,there were commotions at Bomas of Kenya just before the announcement of the presidential election results by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.At first,Chebukati had to leave the podium after threats from the Azimio wing.Later,security was reinforced after which he proceeded and declared William Ruto the President elect.
Azimio has denounced the presidential results.While speaking at KICC today,Raila has urged his supporters to stay calm as they persue some legal redress.They have maintained that their victory has been snatched away from them.On the other hand,IEBC deputy Chairperson Juliana Cherera together with her colleagues have given detailed explanation on why they are not party to Chebukati's announcements.They have said that Chebukati's tallies were way above 100%.The tallies were 100.01% which is 142,000 extra votes.
Some of the UDA allies such as Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok and Kericho Senator Aron Cheruiyot,Davis Chirchir and Itumbi have laughed out at Cherera for failing what they term simple Mathematics.
