'Oparanya Ameshindwa na Kazi, he Doesn't Care Anymore, Impeach Him,' Kakamega Residents Told [Video]

General Secretary at Kenya National Union of Nurses Seth Panyako has called upon the residents of Kakamega County to initiate a motion of impeaching their governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Addressing the residents on Tuesday, Panyako stated that Oparanya is no longer concerned about the needs of the residents but focusing on his political ambitions for 2022.

"Oparanya should sign the return to work formula or we start a motion of impeaching him. As citizens, we have the right to collect signatures for his impeachment. You should impeach this man, he doesn't care about you and the striking nurses, let him go home...." said Panyako.

He went on to question the accountability of the resources allocated to Kakamega. He compared Kakamega to other counties whose governors have done commendable work yet they have few revenue allocation compared to Oparanya's county.

"Kakamega gets Ksh 12B while Bungoma gets 6B yet we are told Kakamega don't have funds, nurses are back to work in Bungoma, Kajiado, Makueni, Meru and Kiambu, what is it they have done that Kakamega has not?" He posed.

Panyako warned the second term governor that if he does not care about his residents, his political career might be coming to an end.
