CS job – You won't believe what he did. | DAILY POST"/>While appearing this morning before the senate oversight committee this morning, the interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has opened up to the fact that ministry he is heading is quite critical and he doesn't even use a diary to plan for his day. According to Kindiki, the demands of the ministry are too high that he doesn't even have the liberty to plan ahead.
The CS who was summoned by the Senate to give an account to his ministry has urged the Senate house to consider him and his busy schedule when they want him to appear before the senate. He urged the senate Committee on National Cohesion to create an option for him to appear some other time when he is not able to make it to the senate.
In a rather sarcastic tone that caused laughter among the members of the committee, the CS stated that the nature of his work makes it hard for him to even run a diary. ''I have no diary, I cannot run a diary because the people plan my movements and whereabouts are criminals, stated the CS; they are the ones who decide where my services are needed,''
The CS further stated that there are times when he wakes up thinking he is supposed to go to Harambee House only to be summoned to war-zoned areas like the south-Sudan-Kenyan border. The CS made the remarks before the senate Committee so that they consider him anytime they want him to appear before the Senate oversight committee.
The appearance of the interior CS before the senate Committee is only weeks after the government deployed more Armory personnel in the 6 counties affected by constant bandit attacks.
