As the August 9 general election is nearing, the Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition presidential candidate Hon Raila Odinga now has only three days to convince weak allies to step down. According to the IEBC, presidential candidates have the mandate to convince their weak allies to step down. They must fo this before the mont of July. Meaning, in three days time Raila has to convince his weak allies to step down in favour of the strong ones in various regions.

In a statement from People Daily, this will be the hardest choice and step to make for Mr Odinga. The fact that Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition has very many parties, Mr Odinga will have to choose strong allies to run for seats without favoring their political parties. It was revealed that, if MR Odinga tries to favor some candidates then Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition might have an internal rivalries that their opponents may use in attacking them.

Therefore in threw days, Raila has to make this hard choice and convince some of his allies to step down.
