Raila Odinga reveals why he left the country soon after the Supreme Court upheld Ruto’s win

Raila Odinga, the head of the Orange Democratic Movement party, has at last returned to Kenya following his vacation in Zanzibar. He didn't announce about his homecoming, so many people were unaware of it.

While in Mombasa, the Azimio Presidential flag bearer disclosed that, contrary to his expectations, he and his family had flown to Zanzibar after the Supreme Court named Hon. William Ruto as the country's fifth president.

Raila continued by saying that his family was shocked by the Supreme Court's decision because none of them had anticipated it. Due to this, Raila decided it would be wise to take his family on a vacation so they could recover from their shock. Raila continued, "I went there to rest."

The supreme Court rejected Raila's petition case that would have overturned William Ruto’s win in the August 9th elections general elections. Ruto has been sworn in as Kenya's fifth president.
