Leaders from Arid and Semi Arid Lands have given the powerful cabinet secretary the mandate to negotiate on behalf of the UPYA party as they seek to enter into coalition with like minded parties ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
They now want their interests to be pushed through the new party and the spokesperson with draught being the main issue. UPYA party is yet to be legalized however, Yatani has been given the nod to work with other leaders ahead of 2022.
The decision was confirmed by Isiolo governor Mohamed Kuti who stated that their mission has began and that they will not back down.
This comes as regions are strategizing and are keen not to be left out of the next government, most of the regions have opted to forming their own parties to help them negotiate with other top leaders
