This follows after the County Assembly Speaker David Kerich rebuked any plans by unnamed individuals who had been reportedly rented by Dr Ruto's political rivals to cause chaos and interruption of the country's second in command's Saturday's tour.
While talking to traders in Kabarnet market ahead of the DP's visit, Kerich noted that allegations had it that some political leaders had gone round the town bribing some locals to boo Dr Ruto while grazing a number of prospective development events in the county.
The speaker who was speaking in Kalenjin dialect called on the traders and the residents to gracefully accept the monetary gifts if they were in need of them. He advised them not to turn them down, but instead, utilize them well.
However, he urged them not to implement their evil schemes because that would be tantamount to disruption of peace, provocation of tension and eventually violence.
"If they have given you any money, just eat but during the event, do not accept to be misused," Kerich told the traders.
According to Kerich, Kabarnet was the 'heartbeat' of Kenya and all eyes would be trained on the Saturday's deputy president's functions.
Deputy president Dr William Ruto is expected in Baringo Central on Saturday to preside over commissioning of government-funded as well as other projects, among them the opening of the newly-constructed St Joseph Catholic church in Keturo and Kabarnet market.
This comes amidst the move by various politicians to align themselves to various political factions ahead of 2022 elections.
Baringo, particularly Kabarnet is the home turf of Dr Ruto's rival sibling and KANU chairman Gideon Moi. The two leaders have got antagonistic political ideologies. They do not see eye-to-eye.
