President Uhuru Kenyatta has today indirectly warned his Deputy Dr William Ruto against chest thumbing and underrating the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, claiming that he is old and he cannot defeat him in next year's general elections arguing that leadership comes from the mind of an individual and not the old or young age.
Therefore Deputy President Dr William Ruto should not underrate and chest thumb that he has more enough to do presidential campaigns, than the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga due to their age difference. Because campaigns are like a marathon race therefore DP Ruto can underrate Raila by running ahead but Raila might come up slowly and surpass him.
Ruto might get tired in the middle of the race and Raila whom he is claiming that is old might easily come and surpass him and clinch the top seat next year. "Uongozi sio wa kikimbilia wenzangu, uongozi ni marathon na pia uongozi sio miaka ni akili ya mtu. Unaweza kimbia lakini unweza fika mahali uchoke na Mzee ambaye unadharau atatoka nyuma polepole na akupite." Uhuru said as he commissions Nakuru City status in a message which seems to indirectly refer to Deputy President Dr William Ruto in his quest for presidency next year.
