"Raila is Doing Very Well in Mt Kenya" Kabete Parliamentary Candidate Comments on Mt Kenya Politics

Kabete Parliamentary candidate Eddah Wambui has claimed that the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp, is doing well in its popularity across Mount Kenya Region since Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua was chosen as Raila Odinga's running mate.

In her Wednesday interview with TV 47, Wambui said that before the naming of the running mate, things were tough for Raila in the region, as the Deputy President William Ruto's popularity was seemingly deep rooted, but things started changing in Raila's favour after Karua's nomination.

"People are now having faith in Azimio, more aspirants are now coming put boldly to campaign for Raila's bid and we have seen that the residents are now warming up to the Azimio's presidency."

"Although it is not yet to the desired number, I am sure he will get at least 30 per cent of the region votes if what is happening across the grassroots level continues," said Wambui.

She went on to allege that the Deputy President UDA party and the camp in general, seem to have slowed down the earlier momentum in their campaigns across the region, arguing that the Azimio camp may take that opportunity to do extensive campaigns within the next few weeks, which might in turn favour them in August polls.
