Oburu Odinga brother to Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has faulted the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati over the presidential results he announced on August 15th.
Oburu Odinga managed to win the senatorial race in Siaya County taking over from Orengo who made a move to the gubernatorial seat. He won under the Azimio la Umoja ticket.
According to him, Raila Odinga won the presidential race. He alleged that the released results by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairperson Wafula Chabukati were not verified by Azimio's chief agent during the tallying process.
Oburu also alleged that Chebukati failed to show the figures that he used to decide that Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto was the winner of the race.
"Until now, Azimio has still not been given the figures by IEBC chairman Chalebukati. He has refused to show us from which figures did he make his decision from because our figures are different from him." He was quoted by The Star.
However, he urged Raila Odinga to make a peaceful move to a court of appeal for a petition. He also cleared the air over a previous statement he had made that the 'system' will make Raila win the presidency.
