Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has caused laughter after he has lost his cool and went further to hit out at church congregants who voted against them in the just concluded general elections.
In his speech while attending a service in Samburu County, Gachagua lamented that they love Samburu people but they don't love them back because of the manner in which they voted recently.
"Why is it that we have loved you but you don't love us to the same extent as we do. We must speak about this because even election is what decides everything as it is used to measure love. You speak but you know who to vote for. We will help Samburu but we want to know how our relationship will look like going forward," said DP Gachagua.
According to Gachagua who left many in laughter, he wanted to be told why their opponent honorable Raila Odinga garnered more votes in Samburu that the candidate from Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
He added that they have done a lot of development projects like setting up schools in Samburu unlike Raila yet they gave him more votes.
"Giving Raila more votes than us is not a problem. What we want to know is what has he done to deserve many votes. If you haven't done anything in Samburu for the last five years, not build any school or church, that is what we don't understand that must be rectified," added DP Gachagua.
