Allies of President William Ruto now claim that they are receiving threats from county commissioners opposed to the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The MPs claim that these are the same administrators who campaigned against Ruto, but have managed to keep their positions despite his win.
They say that despite Ruto now calling the shots, the administrators have remained unshaken and still threaten them with contempt.
It is for this reason that they want them out, and have asked Ruto to eject them for opposing him and even campaigning for his main rival Raila Odinga.
This has been confirmed by Gatundu South MP Gabriel Kagombe, who says that the fact that they were against Ruto during his pursuit of the top seat is in itself enough ground to send them home.
“We are not advocating for a witch hunt, the exercise should not involve personal differences but those who acted outside their mandate must suffer for their actions,” theaw.aker is quoted by The Star.
Wajir North Mohamed Ibrahim Saney said that the commissioners are open in their dealings, claiming that Wajir County Commissioner Jacob Narengo even directed IEBC to hold his election certificate.
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said that it is time to reorganize the Interior Ministry.
“What we want is not for the administrators and State officers punished but we are calling for reorganization,” said the MP, a close ally of Ruto.
