Tangatanga Senator Attends DP Ruto Meeting at his Karen After Speculation that he Had Decamped Ruto

As the 2022 general election gains momentum, political leaders and political parties are busy realigning their camps to broaden their political bases and support. Also, defection from one political party to another party is common among politicians

Today, Deputy President William Ruto had a meeting with Grassroots leaders, religious leaders, and opinion shapers from Githurai at his Karen residence. Several Members of Parliament allied to him also attended the meeting.

However, the most notable attendee was Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen. The vocal tangatanga senator had been missing recently in Deputy President William Ruto meetings.

Senator Murkomen is considered to be one of Deputy President William Ruto's allies who have great influence in the vote-rich North Rift Valley region. If he had decamped DP Ruto as by the Kieleweke bloggers, then it will have been a while blow to DP Ruto.

The second in command is eyeing to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he finishes his second term next year.
