Laikipia County Governor Nderitu Muriithi has praised Deputy President William Ruto for his leadership on IBEC which is a body that brings together County governments and the national government. The governor spoke when he attended an event chaired by the deputy president at his official Karen residence.
According to the governor, members of the press and political commentators thronged the residence because they expected a heated debate between the deputy president and the governors.“The only thing I can do is to congratulate you on your leadership of the council in ensuring we move forward together.” said the leader.
In another set of news, the deputy president said that he has not yet begun his campaigns for the 2022 general elections after he was quizzed by one journalist over his daily campaigns in the country.
According to the deputy president, what he has been doing is what he was elected to do in office. Immediately after the meeting, the deputy president boarded his helicopter and removed it to Narok County for a meet-the-people tour.
