What Ruto Said After Anne Waiguru Announced Joining UDA

The handshake team is arguably walking on a tight rope after Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru, agreed to join Ruto's political outfit United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

This comes after the Kirinyaga county boss asserted that she has agreed to defend her throne on a UDA ticket.

Waiguru proclaimed that she followed requests by her electorates to defend her seat on a UDA ticket.

A section of political commentators believes that Waiguru is eyeing the Deputy President Position in Ruto's team and that's why he has joined Ruto's political affiliation. However, this might not be received warmly with Ruto's lieutenants most probably Rigathi Gachagua who is also determined to hold such a revered Position in Ruto's Government.

Ruto's recent speech after Waiguru's declaration leaned on how they intend to create and offer jobs. He urged voters to elect a government that will deliver in a deliberate manner opportunity for jobs while providing opportunities for businesses to grow.

"It's not a force, it's a right for every person to work in Kenya," said Mr Ruto.

He went on to state that his government will establish deliberate policy Frameworks and programs that will help prioritize the employment of jobless youths.
