Raila’s Witty Response After A Group Of Youths Wearing Ruto's T-shirts Tried To Heckle Him [VIDEO]

The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga today toured Nanyuki, Laikipia County, accompanied by his close political allies and leaders allied to his handshake brother His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta. He went to PCEA Church for a thanksgiving service and later went on to other commitments. The Orange Democratic Movement party boss stopped at several different locations and interacted with his mammoths of supporters who had flocked the area to listen to him.

Raila's tour in Nanyuki, on the other hand, was characterized by both cooperation and opposition from the residents. Raila, who is also the Special Envoy for the Africa Union (AU) in charge of infrastructure across the continent, was better equipped to handle public ridicule at one point. This occurred after a group of unruly youths wearing T-shirts painted with Deputy President William Ruto’s name refused to let him speak to the public. They tried to counter his ODM-related slogans with UDA-related ones.

The group of youths replied Raila’s 'Vijana hoyee' with the word 'UDA'. He, however, remained tenacious as he kept speaking to them despite the shouts from a small group of paid youths. He finally managed to calm them down with his witty response. He responded by telling them that he is at home and no one would create a chaotic situation by disrupting the peace and unity that reigned in the region. Raila encouraged them to be at peace with one another and remain united ahead of the 2022 polls.

His tour of both Laikipia and Nanyuki towns elicited different reactions from Kenyans on social media platforms with most people pledging to support his presidency in the upcoming elections slated August, 2022. Below are some of the reactions from social media users:
