As 2022 draws closer, Kenyan politicians are currently realigning themselves strategically so as to retain their political seats as others prepare to join those seats.
DP Ruto is currently among the popular leader who is targeting the top seat and some of the leaders have started joining him for their political benefit come 2022. DR. Ruto is expected to face off with ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga, who is currently seen as his stiff competitor.
Today, Kirinyaga governor Hon. Ann Mumbi Waiguru has expressed interest in running gubernatorial seat next year for the second time using Ruto linked party. This is good news to DP camp as she will boost his presidential bid in the region. She is expected to be among UDA votes hunters in Mt. Kenya region.
Beside that, this announcement may not go well with Kirinyaga Women Representative Hon. Wangui Ngiciri who is also eyeing Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat using the same party.
