Check Out The Special Role Ruto Has Given Kang'ata Ahead Of The Kandara Elections

The Governor of Murang' ata County, Irungu Kang' ata, claims to be one of the politicians from Mount Kenya that President William Samoei Ruto has sent to help the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) win the Kandara Member of Parliament seat.

Alice Wahome, who had previously held the seat, resigned to accept the government position of head of the Water and Irrigation docket after Ruto appointed her.

Ruto's close friends, led by Kang' ata, went door to door in the Kandara Constituency on Monday to support UDA candidate Chege Njuguna.

The county chief said that Ruto sent him there to get people in the area to support the UDA candidate so that the seat could stay in the coalition.

According to him, their goal was to ensure that the UDA keeps their legislative seat because the former MP was elected on the party's ticket. Njuguna was portrayed by Kang' ata as a man who works hard and is deserving of the seat.

"The president has sent us to ask you to back the UDA candidate so that the party can keep its seat," the president said. We implore you to vote for him so that we can work together. According to The People Daily, he stated this.

He was accompanied by a large group of influential county residents, including Maragua parliamentarian Mary Waithira and region Woman Representative Betty Maina.

Waithira urged people living in the area to vote for Njuguna, saying that this was the only way for them to help Ruto keep the majority of MPs. This guarantees that Ruto would have final say over the government's actions.
