The ANC's National Delegates Congress is expected to ratify constitutional amendments that give the party leader the go-ahead to run for presidency in August elections,in meeting to be held on 23rd January.
The NDC's meeting comes as speculation grows that the ANC's leader could be working on a deal with Deputy President William Ruto's camp ahead of August elections.

However, the ANC boss has insisted he is going all the way to the ballot box and warned his opponents against blackmailing his move to the top job.
He denied reports that he is considering joining Ruto's camp, saying he will go on the campaign trail once the NDC ratifies the Amani Council's decision, which gives him the authority to run for presidency.
"We have only just begun a new year. This is the election year. Things will begin to take shape gradually and steadily. We are about to embark on a sprint like no one has ever seen before,.I am on the ballot and we are not in discussion with anyone outside OKA," Musalia declared.
