Eric Theuri, the chairman of Kenya's Law Society of Kenya (LSK), has accused President William Samoei Ruto of wanting to introduce the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which he had previously rejected before being chosen as commander in chief.
According to the LSK President, President Ruto and his team are on a mission to amend the current constitution so that it is in line with the recommendations that were in the BBI report, and he is doing so "even before the ink dries on the oath he recently took," despite the fact that the highest court in the land of Kenya quashed the initiative.
Mr. Theuri asked all Kenyans to aggressively oppose and denounce the action because that was not what he had vowed to do before and after winning the position of nation's top official.
Do you think that Mr Theuri's claim against the head of state is true? While you wait for additional developments, feel free to leave your comments below.
