Mbita MP Speaks After Governor Gladys Wanga Snubbed President Ruto Church Function

Mbita member of parliament Millie Odhiambo has spoken after Homabay Governor Gladys Wanga snubbed President William Ruto’s function in Homabay County.

On her official Facebook page she wrote “On this, I stand with my sister Gladys Wanga and brother George Kaluma. They were not invited, they have no obligation to attend.

Secondly, Homabay County has many non-elected leaders including rejects. Must the representatives be mainly from outside Homabay?”

This comes after Homabay governor Gladys Wanga didn’t attend a church service attended by President William Ruto at AIC church Homabay County.

She said she was out of the county on official duty and will therefore be unable to join president Ruto in church service and has communicated the same to His Excellency.

Odhiambo is a big supporter of the opposition leader Raila Odinga who was defeated by president William Ruto in the just concluded August polls.

She is a big critique of president William Ruto.

Her post received mixed reactions here are some of their comment.

Nyar Mbita Rusinga says "I concur . If You want to visit someone at least let them know . Do not just ambush them as if they have no other engagements . Nxt time let them alert the office/s,"

Sparta Cyrus says "And y should she be forced to attend church service. She already went to SDA,"

Hon Jared says "And again this was a church function not political nor official government commitment for the elected person's,"

Mildred Onditi Onditi wrote "But again coming to pray is not loud enough....let him plan well ...we are focused on development from Homabay not prayers...majority of Homabay people worship on Saturdays,"

Okanda Gabriel says "Does one need to be welcomed/ accompanied in order to attend to a church service,we go to church to communicate to God; Simple.Our governor and Kaluma are more than right,"
