
Simon Mbugua in Ruto's Rally
Ruto seems to be gaining favour in the eyes of several government officials who are currently supporting his bid. While on his tour of pipeline Embakasi today, the second in command received a major boost in his bid after Uhuru’s official joined him in his maiden Rally today.
Simon Mbugua who is also eyeing the Kamukunji seat using the UDA ticket has been seen as a major pillar in Ruto's bid to woe Nairobi voters to vote for Ruto in the 2022 polls. He says this is time for the region to vote in a reliable leader for the next government.
In 2017 he was among the point men in the Jubilee government who advocated for the reelection of Uhuru and Ruto but seems to have fallen out with his Jubilee party and is currently seeking to endorse a different presidential candidate for the top seat. Ruto is currently in Nairobi.
