Three days after laying to rest his mother, CCM party leader and Bomet's former governor is back on the campaign trail. After leaving his rival to reign across the county, Isaac Ruto through a statement to the media said the laying to rest of mama Jane Tirop and it was time for all aspirants and followers to hit the road running.
CCM party leader had indefinitely halted campaigning since Tuesday last week after his mother passed on at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. The family and CCM fraternity took the time off to plan and give her a beneficial send-off. She was buried on Wednesday.
"After according to the late mama Jane Tirop, we request all CCM troops, ambassadors, commissaries et all back to the field. we are officially starting our campaigns from Sunday, let's all campaign peacefully," the statement said.
Isaac Ruto through his CCM party is seeking to trounce the incumbent governor Hillary Barchok of UDA in the August general election. The death of his mother set his pace back in his quest for the top county seat. His rival has been on to various centers taking advantage of his absence.
