The Orange democratic movement (ODM) party whose leader Raila Odinga is also serving as the party leader of the Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party is facing untold challenges in its perceived strongholds.
In Homa Bay for instance — just as is the case with Siaya county — the orange party is fighting against a strong wave of independent candidates with former Nairobi county governor Evans Kidero eyeing the gubernatorial seat.
And now, Mizani Africa has released a poll to show the most popular gubernatorial candidate between the former Nairobi governor and the current woman representative Hon Gladys Wanga.
According to the pollster, if elections were held today, Wanga would emerge victorious with a whooping 57.3% of the total votes. Kidero on the other hand would come second with 39% of the total votes cast. 3% of voters are still undecided.
"It is a two Horse race between incumbent Womanrep Gladys Wanga (ODM) and former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero (Independent)," Mizani stated.
