What Joho Promised People of Igembe, Meru County That Left Them Mad During Raila's Tour in Laare

Mombasa county governor Ali Hassan Joho was today in Meru county as he escorted his party leader and the former prime minister Raila Odinga during his tour in Meru as governor Kiraitu Murungi welcomed them in the county.

Accompanied by other leaders supporting Raila's 2022 presidential bid, they made several stop overs in different towns in the region.

When given an opportunity to address the gathering at Laare town, Igembe North constituency governor Joho wowed the residents who are popularly known for Miraa farming.

This is after he promised the Miraa farmers to get rid of any taxes imposed on the product as it enters his county if they vote in Raila come 2022. Mombasa acts as one of the main consumers of the product.

This left the people happy and singing Raila's name as this acted as a relief to them if the taxes imposed on Miraa would be waved as promised by Joho.
