Today Meru Governor Kiraitu was accompanied with wiper party leader Kalonzo to church service where they used the chance to popularise there agendas.
Focusing on his official Facebook page account Kiraitu Murungi said;
Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) is a party that advocates for strengthening devolved governments and empowering our people. For this reason, our party will support a presidential candidate that has the interests of the people at heart.
We don't need constitutional amendment to achieve some of these things like allocation of more funds to counties, creation of Ward Development Fund, creation of a youth council and promoting SMEs.
Even as DEP endeavours to push for the interests of Mt Kenya East in the national map of politics, we also support devolution and the empowerment of our people. I urge aspirants seeking various political seats to come on board since the Mbus is an all inclusive party.
@kalonzo musyoka:Muugeni Ameru! Thank you Governor Kiraitu Murungi for the incredible reception at your home and at the PCEA Kagaru Church, Abogeta East where we had the opportunity to worship with the congregation and listen to today's sermon: "Do not confirm, do not compromise; be truthful and stand with God.
I look forward to spending time in this beautiful county and meeting its residents.
