KAKAMEGA(VIDEO) Residents Protesting against Postponement of by-Elections

A section of Kakamega residents today took to the streets to protest against the postponement of Gubernatorial elections in their regions.

Inter electoral and boundary commission (IEBC)Chairman Wafula Chebukati has cited harassment of staff and intimidation as prevailing circumstances postponed the elections in the regions to a future date.

The Candidates under the Azimio la Umoja ticket Fernandez barasa and other Candidates Cleophas Malala and Boni khalwale are the ones contesting on the governorship position.

This follows the decision by Wafula Chebukati that proceeded to indefinitely suspend or rather post-election that was slated for the next day.

Currently, they are protesting out saying they are exercising their constitutional right to partake in those protests just piled pressure only Concerned, and relevant agencies.

The Candidates have vowed to head to court over the issue of the by-elections in the counties.

More pressure is being piled by the candidates themselves to mobilize from the streets to the courts.

Much is expected to see whether their pressure shall be bearing any fruit on the side of the conducting of the by-election in their counties in exercising their Democratic rights.
