The Mt Kenya region remains divided on who to back in the 2022 presidential election.
Some of the region's leaders have declared support for Deputy President William Ruto, insisting that he is the man best placed to succeed Uhuru while another section has declared its undying support for former prime minister Raila Odinga.
Stumping his support ahead of 2022, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader has on concluded his tour of the region.
Raila, who camped in the county for three days, met the Mt Kenya region’s leadership, youth, church leaders and addressed the people on the streets of Nanyuki town.
Also during the tour the former PM was received by huge crowds from the region which is President Uhuru's backyard where he addressed the residents on different occasions.
Mt Kenya region thought to be out of bounds for Raila in the recent elections, has in the recent changed direction and now seem to have a good relationship with him following the handshake pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Now after Raila's storm in the region where DP Ruto is also looking for support, the hustler nation has finally spoken.
Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa a member of the hustler nation linked to the second in command, taking to his social media pages, he has shared a video of some hostile residents of the Mt Kenya region as they chant "Ruto" in the Raila's rally.
"Pole sana Raila Odinga. hustlers wameleta shida." the legislator affiliated to UDA and hustler nation has said via his Facebook page.
