Water At Last- Bunyala Water Commissioned

Busia Deputy Governor, H.E Moses Mulomi has been in Bunyala Sub County to commission the Bulemia Water Project today.

The project will benefit about 7,000 people in Port Victoria and its environs who have been facing water scarcity during the rehabilitation and pipeline extension.

Speaking during the exercise, Mulomi sold his gubernatorial candidature and promised to build on Governor Ojaamong's legacy once he assumes office in the August polls.

The villages that will benefit from the clean drinking water include Rudacho, Bulemia market, Eramba Masaka, Mundekwe, Bubango, Budiera, Magoye, Sigiri, Idokho, Oruma, Nandekere, Buhola and Masake.

Those present included Acting Water County Executive Committee Member, Dr Moses Osia, Chief Officer Water and Irrigation, Dr George Tom Ekisa, Sub County Water Officer, Victor Magina, Head of Operations and Maintenance Department of Water, Thomas Lukeyo, Bunyala Sub County Administrator, Nelson Otando, Bunya West Ward Administrator,  Benson Oduya, Village Administrator, Michael Wandera, Bunyala West Ward Manager, John Onyango and contractor, Cornel Bwire.
