Kenyan politicians have taken to their different social media accounts to express opinions and suggestions following the recent remarks made by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Covid-19 infections in Kenya among other thing.
In his speech which was made today on May 1st 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta lifted the lockdown which he had imposed in over 5 Kenyan counties where none of the residents leaving within this counties were allowed to move out of them.
According to the reports given by President Uhuru Kenyatta, he said that he had the responsibility of looking out for Kenyans regardless of whether or not some were going to hate him for whatever reason. Due to this reason, he urged Kenyans to make sure they follow all the Covid-19 prevention measures in order to prevent this kinds of restrictions.
While reacting to this, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has opened up about his speech saying that the president had done this because of the building bridges initiative adding that it was the BBI that sponsored this and not Kenyans petitions.
This was followed by another reaction after Mwalimu Dida also took to his twitter account to express his opinions and suggestions on this. According to the reports given by Dida, he claimed that it was like president Uhuru Kenyatta was taking Kenyans for a joy ride.
In his own caption, he claimed that the president was not saving Kenyans from anything because according to him, it is the same president who put in all the curfew and lockdowns which was currently affecting Kenyans accusing him of opening it only to feel like a savior.
