Mumias East Member of Parliament Hon. Peter K. Salasya has taken up the challenge to fund the campaigns for one Nuru Okanga, a die hard supporter of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga. Okanga, has been a viral figure following his funny responses and sharp criticism on top political leaders including President William Ruto.
Hon. Salasya stated this evening that, he is going to fund the campaigns in Matungu Constituency and have Okanga become the Member of County Assembly in the region, Kholera ward.
The legislator revealed that the Matungu constituency residents have accepted to support Okanga, adding that he is going to invest in him until he achieves his dreams.
"Nuru Okanga will be vying for MCA in Kholera ward Matungu constituency and I will support his bid Hehe ground imemkubali. I will invest in him to see his dream come true," Salasya said in a viral video.
The legislator went ahead to build a house for Okanga, asserting that he delivered building materials. The MP revealed that he is going to complete building that house before Okanga jets back to Nairobi next week. He noted that, the community where Okanga comes from are all happy.
"This afternoon I have delivered my promise to Nuru okanga in matungu as I had promised. I delivered ironsheets, nails, Ridges and money for timbers and other facilitations ...The house must be completed before he jets back to Nairobi next week. His entire community is happy now," he stated.
Okanga, a supporter of Raila, went viral during the recent elections in Kenya that went in favour of President Ruto. The bold and brave Okanga made q sudden public debut on social media outlets like tiktok, Meta and Twitter leading to his Nation wide recognition.
