Scramble for the 4.6m registered voters in the Central Kenya region is taking shape as the general elections are just seven months away. Top presidential aspirants have launched series of tours to this vote rich region scrambling for the votes.
Deputy President William Ruto today toured in Nyeri county in his two days tour in the region for a big mission of hunting votes and selling his bottom up economic model in Uhuru's backyard. However, his tour is missing very prominent and influential politicians who always help him in selling his ideas.
The various close allies who skipped his important Nyeri tour include, Hon Aden Duale (Garissa Township), Kipchumba Murkomen, Silvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Millicent Omanga, purity Ngirici, Josphat Nanok, Didmus Barasa, Bonny Khalwale, Johnston Muthama, Kawanjiko of Kiambaa among others.
However he was joined by some leaders including, Governor Ann Waiguru, Senator Irungu Kang'ata, Aisha Jumwa, Ndindi Nyoro, Rigathi Gachagua, Kimani Inchung'wah, Alice Wahome, Rahab Mukami, Rindiriki Mugambi, George Kariuki among others.
Ruto in his speech insisted that his government if votes will ensure service delivery and also create employment opportunities for the less fortunate in the society.
