Mr Sunkuli who was to contest for Narok senatorial seat has broken his silence on what transpired ahead of the development that saw him withdrawing from the senatorial race.
Speaking to citizen TV on Tuesday night, Sunkuli said that before he was unveiled, Kalonzo had tried to reach him on phone without success.
It was at this juncture that he decided to visit his party boss at his home in Nairobi having traveled from Narok.
While in Nairobi, Kalonzo then broke the news to him asking him to choose between a job and a country in which case he decided to choose the country.
"I went to Kalonzo’s home in Nairobi after his attempts to reach me on phone failed & that is where he broke the news to me. He then went ahead and told me to choose between a job and a country and I chose the country". Said Sunkuli.
He further said he will be presenting signatures to IEBC tomorrow on behalf of his party boss who is not in the country.
