Raila Odinga's Spokesman Professor Makau Mutua has warned president William Ruto and his allies against removing and replacing the IEBC vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and the other three Commissioners who protested William Ruto's victory during the August 9 general elections.
According to professor Makau Mutua president William Ruto and his allies should avoid trying to remove the IEBC vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and the other three Commissioners from their positions.
"UDA needs to know that if through a kangaroo process -in Parliament or without -it dismisses and replaces the IEBC Four that the 2027 elections, and any by elections, won’t take place. Period". Professor Makau Mutua said.
Yesterday there was an online spat between the opposition chief Raila Odinga and president William Ruto over the planed move by Kenya Kwanza Coalition to remove the IEBC vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and the other three Commissioners who protested the 2022 presidential election results.
It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the coming months if the National Assembly will approve the IEBC vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and the other three Commissioners or not.
