It is only barely one year to 2022 General Elections, many political leaders are racing against time in search of votes that will help them clinch to power. Deputy President William Ruto who comes from Rift Valley region is among the contenders who have toss themselves into ring of presidential race. Since Independence of Kenya, only two tribes ( Kikuyu and Kalenjin) has occupied the top something that President Uhuru Kenyatta has made remarks earlier on saying time is ripe for other community to take over.
Uasin Gishu governor , Jackson Mandago on Tuesday toured Baringo County drumming the support of Deputy President William Ruto's presidential bid said Ruto's entry to power will bring lot of success in Rift Valley region. He said first two years of his tenure will be use to developed the region before concentrating in other regions in the remaining time.
"It is time now to seat and discuss all that's is needed in Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Westpokot, Uasin Gishu, for us to begin work as soon as we enter the government. God willing, if Ruto forms the next government, all development projects in our region will be complete in 2 years time before we concentrate on other parts of the country chiefly because of infrequent entry to government," Jackson Mandago
