Governors Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga) and Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi), Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro are among the top performing leaders in various categories according to a survey released by Mizani Africa on Tuesday, May 18.
The survey ranked the best governors, MCAs, and MPs based on their performances during the past year.
Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki was ranked as the best governor with a score of 79.7 percent. He was followed by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru who scored 79.4 percent.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang came in third with 79.0 percent and his Mombasa counterpart Ali Hassan Joho came fourth with 78.9 percent. Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo closed the top 5 slots followed by Kiambu Governor James Nyoro at the sixth position.
Taita Taveta’s Granton Samboja emerged seventh.
In the national assembly, Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina and Westlands’ Timothy Wetangula tied at position one with 65.9 percent score.
Uriri MP Mark Nyamita came third with 65.5 percent followed closely by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro with 65.1 percent.
