The fourth President of the Republic of Kenya,and the commander - in- chief of defense forces His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta on Wednesday 30th November sent a congratulatory message to Her Excellency president Dame Sandra Mason, Prime Minister Mia Amor Motley and the people of the new Republic of Barbados on the auspicious occasion of the country's transition to a Republic today.
In his message of goodwill, the first in command affirmed Kenya's readiness to continue partnering with the new Republic of Barbados in advancing Pan - Africanism saying the transition was a treatment of the strong resolve by the Barbadian people to chart their own destiny.
At the same time, the Head of State congratulated Her Excellency Dame Sandra on her assumption of the high office of the President of the Republic of Barbados and wished her success as she steers the new Republic into a future of prosperity.
