Despite prior rumours that the Musalia Mudavadi team will soon be joining DP Ruto's camp after his pointman Cleophas Malala shared a podium with him before the end of last year, it has been confirmed.
The Deputy President's Office has broken its silence on DP Ruto's participation, with Deputy President's spokesman David Mugonyi stating that he will not be present.
DP Ruto will not be going, according to Mugonyi, because the Office of the Deputy President has not received an invitation from the Amani National Congress party.
After being asked to confirm their participation via People Daily, President's spokesman David Mugonyi stated, "We have not received an invite directing our inquiries to Mudavadi's party."
